Aims2Cure is a registered charity established in 1999. Our aim is to fund research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and through our Michelè Elster Fund, we help to improve the quality of life of people living with MS.
Aims2Cure hold various events throughout the year and have to date raised over £1 million, something we could only have dreamt of when we started 20 years ago. The charity consists of 13 voluntary members who are committed to this cause and are determined to find a cure.
MS is a neurological disease affecting the ability of the many different nerves in the body to transmit messages such as those involved in walking properly, moving your arms or allowing you to see clearly. Some people have numbness and pins and needles. MS can present in different ways in different people. It is a disease which can often start in young adults in their 20's and 30's when these people are having a family or building a career.
For some people, over many years, there is a continuous worsening of the condition affecting their ability to walk without assistance or manage independently. Aims2Cure is passionate about helping scientists to find a cure as well as assisting those with the disease to improve their lives.
We are delighted and proud to once again be taking part in the incredible Maccabi GB Community Fun Run. We love participating in this community wide event and hope you will support and help us run MS right out of town!
