Respite Kids helps Jewish families caring for children with special needs in London. These families need respite due to the unending work they do caring for their children with often demanding requirements.
The charity was formed in memory of Samara Katz, who suffered from cerebral palsy and required ongoing and complex care. After she passed away, her parents founded Respite Kids in gratitude for the help received from the community, and to keep her memory alive.
Since Respite Kids started, we have provided respite care to over 100 special needs children and their families. We fund summer camps, Chanukah parties, Purim parties and mock seders as well as providing emergency respite care.
We have launched a 2019 appeal to sponsor Jewish special needs children going to summer camps. All funds raised will be used to help these special families.
